A history in photographs and stories of the first one hundred years of Midas, Nevada!
In the early 20th century, Midas was one of Nevada’s best-producing gold mining camps, attracting the attention of New York investors and Nevada politicians. Boxing legend Jack Dempsey trained on Main Street. Midas is now a quiet hamlet, and this book, “A Century of Enthusiasm,” brings the town’s colorful mining history to life.
Sales of the book benefit Friends of Midas, a nonprofit historic preservation organization.
“A Century of Enthusiasm” is available at Sundance Books in Reno or the Midas Bighorn Saloon in Midas.
